MUST LISTEN 142

Every week, we’ll be bringing you Must Listen: a series that's a compilation of rising artists along with songs that must be added to your everyday playlist. This week’s playlist consists of emerging acts like SUNSHINE, Cannelle, and Lexa Gates.

SUNSHINE

Hip-hop newcomer SUNSHINE is taking over our FYP with her latest single, “Trump The Bill.” Hard-hitting and unapologetic, the track channels the fearless energy of 90s New York. It’s a punchy, confident release that revives a classic rap attitude with a modern bite—proof that some recipes aren’t lost.

Lexa Gates

Fast-rising rapper, singer, and producer Lexa Gates closed out 2025 with the release of her latest single, “Estranged,” ahead of her forthcoming album, I Am, dropping on January 16th. “Estranged” is a moody, introspective anthem about love fading in the glow of ambition. The track paints a vivid portrait of distance, memory, and the cost of emotional survival, with Lexa fearlessly embracing vulnerability throughout.

Cannelle

French electro artist Cannelle links up with RADA on their new single, “Hypnotic.” Breathy vocals collide with hard-hitting, rage-inflected production, creating a sharp contrast that keeps us coming back for more.

Rhea Raj

Rising pop force Rhea Raj steps fully into her power on “Now That Ur Gone,” a sharp, synth-pop release pulled from her new EP COMMOTION (Extra Af). Built on punchy synths and sharp pop instincts, the track captures the shift from emotional chaos to self-assured clarity after being the bad bitch that they lost.

KEYAH/BLU

Genre-blurring artist KEYAH/BLU shares her latest single ‘Rudolph’, an upbeat club banger built around being a bit different and comfortable in your own skin. It’s euphoric, confident, anchored by bass-heavy production, with the chorus capturing Robyn’s memorable classic, as the artist repeats “I keep dancing on my own.”

KABEAUSHÉ

Kabeaushé unveils ‘WE HAVE OURSELVES A SHEKDOWN’, the second single from his upcoming album ‘KABEAUSHÉ PRESENTS: IGGY SWAGGERING UNGRATEFUL INCESSANT LITTLE PEEEAAAAAAA’, out February 27. The track continues the saga of Herr Iggy, the unhinged ruler of the fictional Doerf Kingdom, and dives deeper into his spiral of paranoia and self-mythology. Propelled by pounding drums, tense orchestral flourishes, and KABEAUSHÉ’s multi-layered vocals, the song channels the grand, cinematic intensity of Sergei Eisenstein’s Ivan the Terrible. It’s theatrical, volatile, and sharply drawn—an exaggerated portrait of a leader losing his grip.

Raghd

Recognized as one of the most distinctive new voices to come out of the Nordics, Raghd is an artist and producer shaping her own lane between rap, club, and alternative pop. With the release of her self-produced EP Significant Value, it signals an evolution; written and produced entirely by Raghd, it moves through moments where heartbreak lingers, and obsession takes shape, tracing the quiet reckoning that comes with learning your own worth. The project is a mature body of music that finds power in restraint, without losing the instinctive playfulness in sound and melody that first defined her voice.

Yakiyn

Texas rap world-builder Yakiyn unlocks a new level in his steady rise with “CALCULATE,” a chaotically booming cut produced by BNYX. Far from your typical get-money anthem, the futuristic-sounding single finds the Dallas-based artist eyeing opportunities with the precision of a computer-powered missile guidance system. “CALCULATE” opens on a bass-powered glitch storm where squelching synths clash with snapping drums and panning adlibs.
