MUST LISTEN 144

Every week, we’ll be bringing you Must Listen: a series that's a compilation of rising artists along with songs that must be added to your everyday playlist. This week’s playlist consists of emerging acts like Bellah, Easykid, and SadBoi.

Bellah

Bellah shares her new single “Typical” alongside GRAMMY-nominated artist Destin Conrad. A sultry, seductive slice of R&B, the track captures the rush of a hot-and-heavy night between two lovers, laced with just enough toxicity to keep things dangerously addictive.

SadBoi

Toronto’s rising star SadBoi returns with a new single, “Twisted,” to kick off her new era. The track comes off of her upcoming project GYAL 6, dropping later this year. “Twisted” comes from the place of knowing something isn’t good for you and still wanting it anyway, similar to a night out with too many drinks; the moment where logic leaves, and feelings take over, getting messy, honest, and a little embarrassing.

Riovaz

Multihyphenate artist Riovaz returns with his latest single, “IKYTO.” Driven by propulsive drum-and-bass rhythms, the pop-forward track finds Riovaz unapologetically assured in love.

People I’ve Met

People I’ve Met return with “For Hire,” a vibrant, introspective alt-rock track that captures the emotional push and pull of accountability and self-respect. Set against buoyant melodies and layered vocals, it’s a reminder that healing sometimes means drawing the line.

Feng

Feng’s latest single, “J*b,” captures the feeling of clock-watchers counting down to do what really moves them. Feng sounds as beaten down by the grind as he does ready to burn it down. The production is driving, hypnotic, and glitchy, and he makes his case with casual disdain. He’s here for the rent money, not to climb a ladder, but I mean, aren’t we all?

Arlo Parks

Arlo Parks’ new single “Heaven” hammers through a cathartic, earth-shaking bassline, inspired by Parks dancing to an early morning set from her friend, the DJ Kelly Lee Owens, under the bridge at her favourite Los Angeles rave. A brave departure from her previous work, “Heaven” sees Parks lean into her deep love for underground electronic dance music and drum patterns.

Easykid

Rising Chilean artist Easykid ushers in a new era with “Y si peleamos,” featuring Kali Uchis. The track unfolds as a musical dialogue, with Easykid setting the narrative and Kali Uchis entering with the lush, unmistakable sonic universe she’s built over the years. The result is a sleek reggaeton cut infused with R&B, pop, and Latin music, seamlessly blending both artists’ identities without compromise.

Baby Rose

Baby Rose returns with “Friends Again,” featuring Grammy-winning artist Leon Thomas. Rooted in vulnerability and analog warmth, the track explores love’s emotional push and pull through Rose’s timeless, soul-infused sound, intimate, cinematic, and impossible to shake.
